William E. Szczepanski, Esq.

William E. Szczepanski, Esq. is a Buffalo, New York based attorney whose practice is focused on Plaintiffs’ Personal Injury and Criminal Defense. William handles all types of personal injury cases including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, premises liability, municipal liability, and wrongful death.

Born in Buffalo, New York, William graduated from City Honors School before earning a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from SUNY Buffalo State College. He then completed his Juris Doctor studies at SUNY Buffalo School of Law in 2015.

During his time at SUNY Buffalo Law School, William learned the practical aspects of Civil and Criminal Defense litigation as a Law Clerk for both the City of Buffalo Law Department and a prominent local Criminal Defense attorney.

Upon graduation, William operated his own practice, in which he practiced Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Law, served as a member of the Erie County Assigned Counsel Program Criminal Defense Panel, frequently appeared in Erie County Housing Courts for Landlord/Tenant and Building Code Compliance matters, and litigated Estate Administration cases at the local and Appellate level.

Prior to joining Towey Law, William left his private practice to serve as an Assistant District Attorney with the Erie County District Attorney’s Office. During his time with the D.A.’s Office, William gained extensive courtroom and trial experience while prosecuting offenses including DWI, Domestic Violence & Special Victims, Narcotics, and assisting on Homicide cases.

In his free time, William enjoys travel, cooking, exercise, and attending sporting events.
